What ya got for Binoculars?

Don't be tempted by the zen-rays... They're amazing glass for the money, but I'm currently dealing with bad customer service because Ed3's broke. They're supposed to have a lifetime no fault warranty, but it's not working out so well. I wouldn't be surprised if they're on the way to going under. No parts to fix them, hard to get messeges returned. Vortex is a good value in any tier. Great warranty and a company that will be around for a long time.

I can highly recommend Nikon Monarch 7's. I have the 10x42 and used them to great affect in Africa and here during deer season. The only complaint I have is the lousy lens covers for the ocular lenses. But the optics are amazing!

I just saw you have a dollar cap of $300...I think I spent +$500 for my Monarchs.

Thanks for all the responses. After doing some research I think I will go with the Vortex Diamondback 10x42 Roof Prism Binoculars. The price seems right combined with Vortex's unconditional warranty, I think I will give them a shot.

Take a look at the Cabelas Intensity 10X42 HD binoculars for $199 with phase coated prisms and HD low dispersion glass. Lens are fully multicoated also and carry a lifetime warranty.

Look into 8x a little. 10x actually detracts from the experience of a Bino for most people unless you're putting it on a tripod. A good 8x will most likely serve you better, unless you're doing your glassing at extreme ranges. JMOP.
