Gave up Buck fer This

Post by vixenmaster »

1st come 1st served, the yote was the closest n better shot offered. It was very early n all i could do to see my xhair at the 15 yds i took the shot. Turns out the Buck wasn't one i would have shot. So i made the right choice, used a .40cal SML

Yes sir, i had Slufoot out of Va. cut threads in the chamber to fit a Savage II breech plug n uses a 209 shotgun primer. Its a 45-70 barrel, it uses .40 cal bullets wid the 45 sabot. Had it loaded wid 30gr of 4759 n Hornady XTP bullet. The exit hole was huge about 6" in dia.

Good choice..PGC here in pa just finished their fawn study and 70% of fawns were killed by coyotes and rest bears/bobcats..
we are seeing very few fawns ..

They are doing DNA of fawns to see what has killed them..Folks we need to hunt coyotes more..
