Archery season was too warm here in MI

Post by MI Yeti »

The archery season was for the most part too warm here in Michigan this year . The one time I went it ended up in the 80s  . It has cooled off some but still a bit warmer than i'd like in the afternoon . Did take a nice doe with my .50 airgun yesterday morning after getting stuck at a gas station for a over an hour due to the horrible fog . Might try to fill my buck tag with my exocet after i fix my truck which decided that it needed a new drivers side wheel bearing on the way home from the butchers .

hope you guys are having a good season

Our season was very warm too. I took my eating buck when it was in mid 40's and butchered it next day, so all is well. Our rifle season opener w/e was in mid 70. So we refrained from shooting deer until later in week. All is changed now, in the midst of a full blown blizzard! That's Minnesota weather.

Here in Missouri we are looking to drop down to upper 20,s to low 30,s tonight
so if the high winds would calm down it will be perfect in the morning.

The weather has cooled off and its even snowing today . To bad I'm stuck at home . I can't afford to work on my truck until next month . It was in the low 40s on the morning of the 16th when I killed my doe and it was still in the mid 40s by the time I had her at the butcher . I sadly don't have anywhere to processes my own deer anymore but other than being expensive i like were i take them .
