Slow-learner Six Point

Post by rayman »

Was lucky enough to take a decent 9 point. Small by you guy's standards, but a good Florida deer none the less. A small young looking 6 pt came out and the 9 pt came out a little later following the 6 pt. I shot the 9 pt and it went down. The 6 pt ran off then came back a couple of minutes later and milled around for probably 15 or 20 minutes staying close to the deer that was down. He must have thought his big buddy just decided to take a nap after that really loud thunder. Hoping he will live another year, but exercising that level of intelligence a deer doesn't last too long around these parts.

Not the best pic. Zoomed in at about 100 yards with phone. Have to look closely to see the down deer just behind the smaller deer standing.

We raised the point rules here in pa to help keep bucks like that alive but dads are shooting little bucks for 4 year olds with WEE-O-8 funny isnt that was comment by 4 year old on what she used on her buck..DISGUSTING what is happening in pa.NOW they want to make semi-auto high powered rifles legal for deer/bear..

some want it because they can shoot 30 pd cubs better laying on mother they are such great hunters...
