Has anyone tried a bush style arrow retainer over the standard spring type, and if so does it make xbow any quieter? :?

Do you have a pic or a link to this brush type. I have always found the bolt retainer to one of the biggest contributor to noise.

It's very easy to quiet it down with shrink tubing and a slip on suppressor

I wouldn't pay $9 either! Mine was included in a BowJax crossbow kit that also included limb and string dampeners. The O ring is a good idea.

Love it! The camo hockey tape is great too if got some. My steel climber is foam filled and wrapped in layers of camo hockey tape - its heavy as all hell but quiet.

I don't get it....$9 darned dollars??? And people are whining  Are you serious!! The China-Mart mentality just oozing. Come-on guys!..What can you do for $9? When I drank, I spent twice that much on beer Every day. These are $1000 bows, shooting $25 missiles...so most must have some sort of income.

I really see no point in trying to quiet these bows, but to each his own.

I like to be positive and constructive, and this positive view is obviously shared by most on here because this is one of the VERY BEST forums on the net!

But it seems sad to me that when someone posts some really neat new accessory, or idea... guys jump in and bash the product because of a few bucks...Boo's recent post about the cool new de-cocking "Defuser" comes to mind. :( You can't spend it after your on the wrong side of the dirt and they're patting you on the face with a shovel

   You guys are worse then a bunch of old women! How did the subject go from the man's question to you old hags bickering about the $9 you had in your wallets since the 80's Stay on topic, or start a new one. Like, what I had to pay for a gal. of milk, or a loaf of bread so you can bicker with each other about that!
