Excalibur Matrix 350

Post by FFMIK »

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and joined because I just bought my first crossbow...a Matrix 350. I've done a lot of research the past few weeks and decided an Excalibur would be best for me. I was wondering what your thoughts are on installing an ADF? I'm thinking it's a no brainer but I sure would like to hear what you all think. And of course, feel free to pass on any other suggestions you might have on setting this 350 up. Like I said, I'm new to this and any help I can get is much appreciated!

Thank you,

FFMIK

Congrats on a fine bow, shoot it with the stock stuff, and you'll figure out what you need to upgrade. An ADF is a great option, and I recommend it. Understand all the functions, and requirements to keep her shooting great. I recommend watching all the instructional videos here, and although different models are used for the videos, the language, and principals are the same across all models.

I put an ADF, Dan Miller's Baby Bumpers and Dan's Front quiver mount on my 350. I shoot Flemish strings on it twisted by Vixenmaster.I also mounted a Bresser RF.

You definitely gotta great bow there bro. When I ordered mine I started out with Danny's baby bumpers , guardian anti dry fire , and a Danny miller heavy duty stringing aid,and a C2crank cocker. Slowly but surely I've gathered wisdom from this forum and have upgraded stock string to Vixenmaster strings,Black Eagle Zombie Slayer arrows , and most recently ( couple days ago ) a Hawke XB30 pro SR scope. Dang , being a member of this forum'sbeen expensive but sure is fun. But to clarify stock everything will serve its purpose.

Welcome and congrats on your xbow. Best advice I can offer, is don't aim at the same spot on your target with the second shot, I damaged a couple bolts making this very mistake.

Thanks everyone!! I do appreciate all the advice! Can't wait to start setting my crossbow up. Does anyone have Big John's contact information? I think I would like him to make my bolts.

Big John is no longer making arrows!
There's a post in The Other Topics that explains it all!
