sproulman-------I thought hunting was part of Pa., and surely in your Northern part of Pa. Hard to think you have that around you.

I have gone on our hunting week 24 out of 25 years of marriage. The only year I missed was when she had our youngest daughter in late September. One daughter hunts the other doesn't but loves the venison. Now when it comes to equipment/clothing she knows I spend money every year, but I have outfitted the crossbows identically so when I shoot, it would be hard for her to tell the difference. :D :D

You got it. I've never gotten grief over buying any outdoors or hunting gear. Heck, a lot of my gear she bought for me. :D

Here's what I do ! :P

I reach down and pull up by BIG BOY pants. Quietly pull up the zipper  and sneak out the back door to the Tundra, as it has quieter exhaust than my Bronco, 8) for a quick trip to the P/O.

You see I have our mail lady trained to not bring packages with my name on them here to the house. :D

Instead, she gives me a call on the cell phone & I sneak down and get them... Then quitely get them hidden in my old motor home, where they enter the " Land of the Lost " 8) ....as she will not even enter there.

Then I get it lookin' like the others, :D But, I have to be sure there are not more than two in any single space in our house. As dementia has not set in yet and she can still count. ( only kidding on that one.... Ya think )

Almost 38 years now, and still working good. In fact I have a new Rinehart "Second" making that exact trip right now.

PS, sure HOPE she never frequents this forum.
