You can't go wrong with the 330 or 350. I have both.

I have had a Matrix 330, and a Matrix 355. I coulld not find a fault with either model, They are great models.

I still own and hunt with a Micro 335, and a Matrix 380.

However, I recently was able to acquire a Matrix 350 SE at a lower price "new" than either the 330 or the 355 models sell for. :D :D . It also includes a cheek rest which is not included with either of those two.

This 350 is awesome and way easier to use for long periods of bench time than either my Micro or the 380.

I would definately suggest you search around and find a Matrix 350 SE/LE as they are usually selling in the $550 range brand new as a package with arrows, quiver, and a decent scope.... Definately the Best Buy in the Exacalibur line-up IMO !! 8)

Just as a point of interest, the Matrix 350 SE/LE shoots with, or some report possibly even faster than, a Matrix 355..... I took the bull in my avatar picture with my past Matrix 355 and it gets the job very well regardless the size of the animal your after. :D

I have the matrix 330 have no issues with it and shoot it a ton . If I need more POWER I will go to my EXOMAX . As I use a caldwell deadshot fieldpod to shoot from . I use a crank to cock them both due to medical issues

Matrix models are a good balance between the Exo models n the Micro's. They are easier to rope cock on the lower models , 310-330-350-355. Couple things to ponder over are arrow weight n the speed you would like n the huntin yardage yer area provides. Those will play the big part in researchin choices. 310-330 will do the job if'en yer into shootin abit of practice. Their arrow speed say usin a 400gr arrow will fall off 20 fps. So the 350 SE/LE are the cats meow model n the 355 is also good but will cost more than the 350 model

I own a Vortex right now and was looking at the Matrix 355. I could not hit the button to spend over a grand with some of the accessories. So on another Excalibur website a great guy told me to look at the Matrix 350. It is not on the Excalibur website I will tell you that now. It has the almost the exact specs as the 355 but is 300-400 bucks cheaper. I picked mine up for 549 bucks versus the 829 I would have spent on the 355 and the only real difference is that it shoots 5fps slow than the 355. Look at all the great reviews on the 350 series on the forum and best part is you can use the money you save to upgrade all the little things and still be way less than the matrix 355 cost.

I just got my new 350 two days ago and put it together and what a sweeeeet bow it is. I haven't shot it yet just two cold and windy right now.

I love my 380, for hunting. I do not target shoot very much, only to sight it in before a hunt.
I 5ft 5in and 69 years old and I am just starting to think about a C2 crank for loading. But have had no problem so far.

Wrong...it actually shoots around 7 - 8 fps faster than the 355 with factory arrows and factory string. The draw length is a little longer on the 350. :)

I have a 330 and I love it. You can shoot it all day and not get sore. It's easy to pull. And as far as it's killing ability, it's plenty fast enough and has more than enough power to kill anything. I've killed deer and bear with mine.

I'm gonna buck the trend and say my 405 with a caveat. The caveat is that it is for hunting use and not volume target shooting. I have no problem cocking it half a dozen times but after that it starts to get a little much. Half dozen times is more than enough to confirm my zero and go out and kill something.

All the other models are just as capable but perhaps not as forgiving on heavy bone. I had a shot 2 years ago on a medium size 8pt and as the bolt left the crossbow one of the three fletches came off. The result was POI was high and right and square onto the shoulder blade of a broadside animal. To compound the issue I was shooting a mechanical. Well I need not have worried as the bolt broke both shoulders and passed thru and dropped the deer in its tracks as it had no front wheels. I am not sure if a lower poundage model would have given the same result.

I agree. The revised limb mounting makes the cocking easier and the launch gentler. The 350SE/LE are consistently reported to slightly outperform the M355.

Agree with both guys above.

If you want a little more, the 380 is pretty sweet.

I've owned my Matrix 355 for just over a year now. Very pleased with it, no issues at all. It's my first ever crossbow. Outstanding hunting machine.
Having said that, if I had my time to do over, I think I'd have gone with the 330, and upgraded the scope to a Tact-Zone, just to be able to put in a little more range time without wearing myself out. ( I'm also usually cocking my wife's Axiom for her too, during our shooting sessions.)
