Seriously wabi that rack looked twice as big as it really was reckon they call it buck fever, but I never get that

Where was the sun when you saw him? Just curious as to if that was perhaps the reason it looked larger. I shot one several years ago in gun season that looked like a huge rack. Shot him at about 80 yards with the sun behind him and I was using a handgun with open sights. When I tracked him and recovered him I thought it was a different deer at first :lol: An average 6-pointer! With the sun at his back, that rack looked huge! With him in the shadows of the woods it looked kind of tiny - proof of ground shrinkage for sure :lol:

Congratulations Gary!!

Any deer taken with an arrow is a trophy and WOW, that's a really nice buck!! Well done. I bet you were having a good time just sitting in the woods taking in mother nature, when along come this deer and ratchets up everything. Goes and ruins your peace and quiet. Makes your heart race. Good man. Enjoy the success. You were up to the task for sure.
