I use the same stuff the other day found one stuck under my arm it went across the repellent . They are just as Bad here in Mass. Take it from someone who is chronic Lyme along with MS I check every time I come in . It will only get worse .

Ticks be so bad here we get them on us in the Winter time even wid snow on the ground. I have never lived anywhere that had so many of them. If'en i could get our money back out of this place. We would sell out n go some where else, maybe the North west or over in Tn. below Ky. in Pickett county

....sounds like everyone enjoys being "tick (ed) off".......and rightfully so.....

....much better than being "tick (ed) on" and having to deal with those little buggers!

Deer ticks have now become a vector of transmission for the Powassan virus. The difference between Powassan and Lyme is significant.

Powassan is fatal in 10%-15% of people infected
50% of people infected will suffer permanent neurological damage
Powassan can be transmitted as soon as the tick attaches to the skin

Powassan is still rare but disease experts are concerned it will begin to spread now that deer ticks are carrying it.

Yes I use the homemade permetherin mix and have not been bothered by the ticks.
My Grandson hunts with his friend some in the fall archery deer, he has no problem, as his clothes are treated, but his friend is full of ticks, when they come out of the woods, in that area.

I use the 33% permethrine and I use a half ounce of it to a quart spray bottle. I think I am a tad over 1% in the mixture instead of the .5 they mix in Sawyers and other sprays. I have not had a tick on me in years unless one got on me while I was not wearing treated clothes.

I haven't been using it and got a Black Legged Tick fully embedded and engorged this year.
I went to my Dr and she prescribed 2 antibiotic pills because the tick was on me for 24 hrs. She told me that only a very small percentage of the Black Legged Tick here carry Lyme. I have concentrate and will be increasing the disease. Thanks Robert!

Ones with red butts are bad ones the Females..We get perm spray at wal-mart and spray everytime we go out in woods..doxcyline must be 100 mg and used at least 20 days.if you are positive like me you need 3 months...It hides in your brain or behind your kneecap its like weasel waits until meds are gone and sneaks out..]
