String length

Any of you string making guys know the string length for the older Exo series bows?

If my memory is correct the Exo series string is about 36.5" long.

Thanks guys. Test driving a string for a local shop. It listed as 35 1/2" on the package and even untwisted as far as I'm comfortable with it comes up quite short in brace height. It's still about 1/4" short of being in the zone (between the 2 lines). They claim it has no stretch and so far they're right. It's been on the bow for several days and hasn't moved a bit. Haven't shot it yet but will soon. Shame as it's a very well made string.

What is the type of string material? You need a material that will have some give to it to not damage the limb tips IMO.

The string was made by a company called Winner's Choice. It's a 32 strand string made from a material called BCY-X. I'm not a string maker so I really don't know much about different string materials.

I've made Tons of strings from BCY-X and haven't had one reported problem. Don't use it as much now but wouldn't hesitate to at all.

I agree with 8pt. BCY-X is a blended material but it is only 17% vectran (material that does not stretch) so it would be OK on that bow. Bottom line is that 35 1/2" is 1" too short for an Exo-Series bow, so I doubt you will ever get to the BH you want.
