Get well soon!

Before you know it you will be aiming at a big trophy black tail with your healed eye...
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. My vision was four fingers at six foot. After six surgeries my vision is good enough to to hunt using a scope. Stay positive.

Apparently not my Friend...

Surgery went "Very Well" according to the Eye Doc.
Interesting (sort of) process, in which you are actually awake...
Spooky might be a better word...

All the fluid was drained out of the eye, the inside of the eye "roughed up" to give something for the retina to attach to, then a gas ball inserted and the eye stitched closed. Weeps a lot...

Spent overnight down in Victoria, and of course did not sleep due to strange bed / discomfort / worry. Only good thing was I got to watch (one eyed) the movie Tombstone again while laying around :D

Met the Doc again today.
He pulled the bandages off, and when the eye opened, NADA
This is expected he said. Conducted a detailed exam of yesterday's work, and pronounced it excellent. Suggested sight will gradually come back over the next 2 to 6 weeks. Have to stay in darkened rooms, and for the next 72 hours flat on my back with head in a particular position (that causes the gas ball to squeeze against the contact points where the retina was re-attached to promote adhesion). Not supposed to look at the computer, so this will likely be a sign-off for a few days...

Still have the fingers crossed & wanted to thank all those who offered their kind words of support...

Cheers,
Nog
