New xbow, loving it

Post by Newbie »

Hello everyone, after completely giving up on the possibility of getting a crossbow due the cost of my university tuition, after doing many months of trying to learn the ropes of crossbow hunting even though i didnt have a crossbow, my parents surprised the heck out of me yesterday by buying me a brand new exomag, case, bolts, quiver, broadheads, cocking aid, and target block. Needless to say this is my early christmas present, doesnt give me much time to practice with the fact that im in residence at university and all, but i definitely have another reason to come home on weekends to get in my thousand shots before i start hunting, because its not fair to the animal if i'm not good. Luckily a few local hunters have been really helpful so far in teaching me the ropes, and they have offered to bring me on hunts and scouts along with them. I have fired my crossbow at least 150 times in these last two days, trying to find my niche. Anyways, the point of this really long message is that id like to thank all you guys and girls on the forum, ive learnt alot through your posts, and how id like to thank the hunting community in general, you guys are a special breed (no disrespect in any way), it seems as though a hunter will go out of his/her way to help out another, and in todays world thats saying a lot. So to all of you out there, thanks, and i cannot wait to join the ranks with my first successful harvest (hopefully).
