My Crossbow Buddy

Post by CT.HNTR »

Has anybody used the My Crossbow Buddy crossbow holder on a hang on tree stand? I am looking for something like this for deer hunting and wanted to get some feedback before purchasing one.

For clarification it's the Crossbow rack made by "My Bow Buddy" that I am interested in getting feedback on

Great idea, but I like to be able to stretch my legs, and it looks like you could not do that.

Above my head in my stand is a good sized branch, so I bought a big rubberized hook that I hang my bow from.

I also like to stretch my legs....
And I have one of them screw in hooks that folds out to 24" so my crossbow hangs in easy reach. :D

I used to have a deal like that for my vert bow but it was much smaller, unobtrusive and it positioned the bow pretty much straight up and down so I could set with my feet on either side of the bow, hang them off the front edge if I wanted or stand up and move around. This unit is a lot bigger, takes up stand space and angles the CB back at you which would be quite limiting in your ability to move around. I'm with the other guys, I have a couple of the (primos I think?) screw in hangers that fold out. I like the double fold one instead of the tri-fold one as it keeps the weight a little closer to the tree so it will not turn if you get it a little off center when extended.

My .02.

Cheers!
