Arrow Weight Question

Post by CrazyCanuck »

New to the forums. Just upgraded from an Axiom to the Kryptec Raid 335 Suppressed. Question is for arrow weight, the specs for the bow say lightest arrow to be used is 350 grain. It also states speeds were measured with a arrow with a total weight of 350 grains this would include tip. So does this mean that if I were to use a 100 grain broad head I could use a 250 grain arrow or wou,d it still be required to be the full 350 for the arrow and then an additional 100 grain for tip?

Thanks in advance.

The total weight needs to be 350 with everything included. However... most here like to keep total weight around 400. I use a 400 grain setup with my 310, and 425 grain with my 330. The main reasons I do this is FOC and consistent accuracy.

Thanks, I was used to a upright bow that you had to have a proper spine. I just sighted it I with the factory quill arrows as 150 grain field points. Mainly did this because I still have my 150 grain bolt cutters. Justin case dont get new arrows add before the season starts. Now just need to research a good arrow broadheads Combow. Kind of like the new excalibur mechanical broadheads
