Sighting In Scope

Post by wsisk »

I did a search of post on this and found 1 but it was for a bow that is way faster than mine. My question is does anyone tat has a micro 335 tried sighting in main crosshair at 30 0r 35 yards? If so what were the results when shot at closer ranes and farther. I would just like to use main crosshair out to 40 and under.

I remember my 335 Micro impacting 1.5" high at 20 when sighted in at 30. That result was noted with a 383 grain arrows.
Some range work with your chosen arrow may yield different results on a different day. I suggest noting your findings and tape a drop chart to your stock or scope under clear tape for reference in the field this fall.

With a 435 grain arrow as previous poster said about 2 inches.l get confused by all the chevrons also but its nice to have them anyway with a range finder your good to go. If i had a really fast bow like a bulldog i think l would just put a simpler shotgun scope on it .

I never use chevrons and my shots on buck at 40yds or less...I sight in dead at 30 yards with my micro 335..

its like 1inch or so high at 20 and 3 inchs low at 35 yards ..

So i just put it behind bucks shoulder only using the main crosshairs ...i tape the info on my stock with clear tape over it showing the flight to 35 yards...I think it was 7 inchs low at 40 yards but not sure ..

I have the Nikon Bolt Xr scope which I set for x-hairs POI at 25 yards and I use them for all shots out to 30 yards. I use the 1st circle for shots over 30 yards and don't shoot over 40 yards.

With a 390grn arrow leaving at 345-50fps zerod at 27 yards gave me 1.5 high at 20 and 1.5 low at 35.
I used a 3" circle to zero on center and then adjust distance from there until it hit top and bottom.
