.300 insert question
2 years ago l went ape and ordered a couple dozen of each 30,50,84, 92 and 110 grain inserts from jerry at south shore to play around with. I settled on the 84 grain and 125 grain broadhead combo for my vixen and ibex bows and a 110 and 125 grain broadhead in my matrix bows. Now this year im going with a 100 grain head .l can easy move up to a 110 on the vixen and ibex and make up the 25 grains. My question is do they make a 135 or a 130 grain brass insert for the .300 zombies. I know its only 25 grains but im about to cut 2 dozen zombies l was trying to make them matched if possible. I really like the 110 insert and 125 head they really penetrate and fly awsome. Thanks in advance lbj.

Re: .300 insert question
Joe, Black Eagle has NADA in that weight, nor do they offer extra weights. I did a search of the NET, and did not find anything really. You might want to get a hold of Jerry at SSAS On the flip side though, check out the knurled 40 grain inserts in too darn small OD that Home Depot sells! Yep, Home Depot! Made by Allen Archery, maybe they would be a source??
Good Luck LBJ!

I shoot them and am very pleased. they are spinning inserts they fly good and the performance you get from them is great. better flight and penetration. hope this helps you.

Re: .300 insert question
EDIT: I now understand that this info is not really helpful to your question,..sorry. But I'd like to leave it in case it helps someone else .....
I may not be following you right? But an 18" Zombie with a 92gr insert will shoot a 100 grain Slick Trick's out of my 380 very well.
When I added a 41gr lighted nock to the back of my 18" Zombies/BEE's, w/92 gr inserts, w/100gr ST's... I lost control of quite a few of my arrows. I cut off the factory fletching and added AZ Bolt Blazers to them and they all came right back into the bullseye at 100 yards!
I know I'm flirting with FOC min's .. depending on the formula I use, if I include my point length I'm at 13.4%...without the point I'm 16.9%... I shoot at 100yards with broadheads for practice and want to maintain as much velocity as I can. By using the 92gr. brass insert and 100 gr head and lighted nock I'm at 412gr. and 352fps out of the Matrix 380
I know that I should go with a 110 insert or a 125 head and not look back. But my factory 18" Eagles come with 92gr inserts and I have lots of 100gr BH's.

Re: .300 insert question
I get what your saying bighorn ....l know im a little overkill. Just trying to duplicate whats been working for me with the 110 and 125. The combo really has a few inches more penetration on my block target for sure l like that.l rarely get a shot past 30 yards in my woods so a flat arrow is not a concern.

Re: .300 insert question
just find yourself a 35 grain screw to use as added weight. I have a bunch around 19 grains that thread into the back side of the insert like gold tips add a weight. touch of glue to lock it in and bingo.
just make sure you don't thread it in too far as to not allow your broadhead to seat fully.

Re: .300 insert question
Those are made for their compound bow arrows which are available in Zombie Slayer's. Make sure the outside diameter works for you. Good find Thackman!
