The Silver linning

Post by kd8jgu »

After having to back out of a great deal on a crossbow.
Reason 1450 dollar repair bill on vehicle.
Wife went to a rummage fair (rummage sale)
Yes other peoples junk
She walked in the door and asked if a Excalibur Vortex was a good crossbow
Of course I said yes
She then hit me with did she over pay (paying 45 dollars)
Yes I know I need to get her some roses
May my aim be true and my arrow fly straight

My wife went to a garage sale last summer and sent me a text asking if 2 tree stands for 50.00 was a good price. I said yes.
When she got home and showed me I saw that it was a Summit Viper climbing stand that had barely been used. Most of the places I hunt here have lots of limbs = Spruce, Pine, Cedar, Maple... I sold it for 100.00 a couple weeks ago to a buddy at work and bought a few hunting accessories
