My homemade vanilla killer recipe

Post by longbow joe »

Hey guys someone asked me for my vanilla killer recipe and l will post again. Why ........because l like you and you dont hunt where l do lol . One part pure vanilla extract .one part almond extract. One part real maple syrup. ....the good stuff... (lf you want to be a total cheapskate use good pancake syrup...) now some states dont allow "food" based lures so use at your own discretion. Use a small dispenser bottle and hose your hunting area real good ...use lt like you own the company .lt works all year but October seems to be the best time .The does love this stuff. This and plain doe pee is all l use for years. Good luck hope it works for you as well as well as it has for me. Lbj.

I have no idea whats in cmere deer spray but my stuff smells a lot like it. I uesd to use dan Fitzgeralds vanilla with great results. And dont know whats in that but its too expensive to use all the time. I got the formula many years ago from a friend up north. It seems to work on anything with a sniffer. You dont really need a ton of it either, a few squirts around 20 yards of the stand is good. You will see the deer actually eat the leaves you spray it on.

Do you just mix it up, or do you warm it in a pot before bottling it?

Mixed mine tonight.
Went to Walmart tonight and picked up what I needed to make the vanilla extract lure.
Dispenser Bottle $.97 (used for Ketchup)
Great Value Pure Vanilla Extract 2 fl. oz. Bottle $5.98
Watkins Pure Almond Extract 2 fl. oz. Bottle $3.44
Great Value Pure Maple Syrup 12.5 fl. oz. $6.98
Total with tax- $18.99
Image
Made 6 fl. oz.
I put two layers of cellophane over the bottle's cap to make sure it doesn't leak while carrying it around.

Hope it works in my area!!
