2017 Maine Moose Hunt

803 pounds 43 inch spread, really wanted to use the crossbow but he was in a nasty swamp very thick and decided the 30-06 was my better option.

Just one question, what kind of rig goes into a nasty swamp and gets that beast out in one piece? Just curious

We were on a twitch tail , he called and the moose came out about 150 yards from us, came in on a string, but the truck was behind us about 50 yards in the opening. He came in not making a grunt or anything. He was about 50 yards away when I shot straight on in the chest. Then he turned and I shot him in the front shoulder. He went down😊😊 the guide had a hand crank and cable to pull him in.😊😊

Wow that thing is HUGE! I couldn't imagine being on ground level with something that big in bow range. Congrats on a beauty.
