Ouch!!!
Got some unexpected cash this past week, so I updated my scope.
Wife says if I buy one more thing for my crossbow people can start calling me Squeaky.

Re: Ouch!!!
I am very thankful that I have no mortgage or loan payments.
After the past year of Hospital visits for my wife we do have a couple unpaid Dr bills that insurance has not settled yet, but our house is paid for and I pay cash when I buy a vehicle. I drive a rust free truck with high mileage, but as long as it lasts me 5 or more years I can't justify buying a new vehicle off the lot and making monthly payments.

Good for you. My better half landed a sweet job three months ago, and after five years of hard scrabble living, the pressure is finally off. She told me I could buy a new bow if I wanted one. I looked up at the "beast" hangin on the wall, still looking brand new, and said "Naw, but I sure could use a crank, anti-dry fire, and Trigger Tech trigger. Lifes lookin brighter. Tight lines,

Re: Ouch!!!
I think you got the best overall, i.e. everything considered, dedicated xbow scope. For a major scope manufacturer, I did parallel testing of every mainstream xbow scope (except the XBR) at ranges to the maximum of the scope and from dark to light and then light to dark, testing when I could make out letters on charts at various ranges AND deer targets placed in simulated hunting situations from 20-100 yards.
Results: non-specific scopes #1 Duralyt, #2 VXR & Bushnell 4200 2.5x10, #3 Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5 - 10 50mm.
Specific : #1 Hawke XB 30 SR Pro, I've forgotten the exact sequence of the others but a Ten Point scope did well, the top Excal scope was right up there also, xhairs disappeared early on the Leupold as well as the optically superior Zeiss XB75 . Overall best low light xbow scope - Hawke XB30 SR PRO. Best overall scope, except for the 5-7 minutes at each end of the daylight, is the Zeiss XB75. However, that 10-15 minutes at the 1st and last light are the most important minutes of the day.
If I were buying a new xbow specific scope, it'd be a SR PRO.
Hawke was not the sponsor of the test.

Re: Ouch!!!
Well, today I got caught window shopping on the fleet farm web site.
All I heard was = I Already Told You You Are Done Buying Things.
Then I tried to explain to her that I needed the 1/2 gallon Yeti to keep my water cold at work.
She said winter was almost here and I could store my water outside at work and it would be cold when I needed a drink.
