My nice buck that the coyotes snacked on

Post by longbow joe »

[url=https://postimg.org/image/9kfod1rtcb/]Image l was out last nite and grunted in a big boy he stopped and was eating acorns exactly 35 yards out. Too far l told myself he will jump the string. I thought l wish a train would rumble by with all that noise l might. And l got my wish a train came. I have had a lot of success with the risky throat shot and he was totally facing me. I have been practicing with the ibex all summer and l hate to admit it has made me a little crossbow cockey. I steadied the bow on the limb and picked the white patch and squeeze. The bolt just dissapeared down into the white patch and angled down into the body. Had an awsome blood trail but after 60 yards he circled in these cattails and had me all turned around. I came back this morning and found the 9 pointer with a few chunks outta his torso

[url=https://postimg.org/image/1v9wgm2jez/]Image you can see how he was snacked upon. Up until 2 years ago coyotes just weren't a worry here. Im learning fast!

Nice buck but where the coyotes ate is now most likely unusable . In my area that deer would have been nothing but bones if that around here if we hit a deer we don't let it go over night I did once and when I found it zip was left

Congrats on the buck! We can't leave a deer overnight because it will be devoured by yotes!
