Hey Dude,
I'm from 7 generations in those mountains. Sat on Mansfiled's top in Aug but prefer "The Hump" . Got tell you the bucks are bigger up here in Canada. Took #5 in Ontario by bow in 1999. 14 points and 161 and a quarter inches of horn. I have my dad's and five of my uncles best racks and they can't come close. I hunt bow only areas with my beloved. The only ex that has my heart, Excalibur.

7 generations eh?? Then you will surely know what that green, blue, and white thingy is under my name. Right?? :P Fill me in on some facts regarding Vermont that a flatlander would'nt generally know. Then I'll believe you. :P Ain't no 7th generation Vermonters I know that would leave god's country for the biggest city in Canuckistan. :P
Yes, I agree the deer here are on the small side when you compare them to many other places in N. America.
I lived in Maine for number of years, and know that the avg. weight of a (clean dressed) Maine deer is 148#. That weight is the average of both buck and doe reported.
My deer this year went 158#. Small???? I guess it's all relative.

Show us the pic of you and your #5 best Ontario buck. Lots of people talk sh*t, few can back it up.

Flatlanders the scourge of the earth

Post by kendo kid »

Vegetables in Vermont? Must be a Flatlander. Living in Burlap and looking at Mansfield. Vegetables and seafood go together. My family, all 6 gnerations are resting in Union Village Vermont Cemetary. That is all the proof that is necessary. Regarding understanding Vermont, I suggest you check your history books and read the 3 major exports from Vermont (Milk, Maple Products, and its young people) It has been that way since the 1920's. Sad to see so many jobs taken away from natives and given to flatlanders. This is especially true in Montpeculiar and even in the Legislature the Puzzel Palace run by outsiders. The word independent always proceeds the word Vermonter in the description of virtues. However, independent is a reflection of nationhood and refusing to join the Republic until all land claims with NH, Mass and NY were settled. Ethan Allen, not the furniture company dude, had the habit of visiting farms loyal to the land claims of the Republic. He and his"boys" loaded cattle and stock into wagons in September and burn the barns and houses. He was so upset with the Republic at one point he threatened to join Canada. My mother and aunts were members of the DAR. Do you know that term? Ira started UVM. Justin knew alot about horese and actually developed the Morgan breed where my mother's family is from. Actually the hill running between Randolph and Randoph Center, now scared by the Interstate, is still named for her family. If you are so into Vermont answer this question. What governor was referred to as a "pork little flatlander?"

Send me your e-mail and I will send you the picture of the Chocolate Buck. Then you can kiss my #@% for intimating i'm full of &*@%. Let's see if a flatlander can take it

Hey A.W,
Don't get your panties all in a bunch. It's just a play on words. I like Canada (Canuckistan) just fine and have relatives there. I'm just happy as a peach right where I am.
Now, get back to your haggis and scotch, finnish that hem on your kilt and go back outside and dig some more peat moss.

Hey GaryL,
I can go to virtually any part of Vermont and take similar scenic photos.
Can you do the same in Ohio? I seriously doubt it, as the pictures would more likely frame strip mines and coal fired power plants. That's nice!

Well that all depends on where one was at Carl, around here yes I could take some very scenic pictures. Futher south east you would be right however they do restore the areas making for some very beautiful areas, sometimes better then before. That being said there are some very beautiful areas in Ohio, as for the coal fired power plants they are all over the world along with Nuclear power sites which by the way makes for some very good fishing.

Tell me Carl where do your power come from :?: However the point is mute as Hey man it was a beautiful picture....I thought that was the point :!:

The haggis and Scotth is good. I don't have a Finnish hem on my kilt but my hem is finished and I'd rather have Heather than pete.
