Around 2 pm. today shot my fall turkey. Had 4 hens come in and shot the biggest one. My action camera has auto record but after looking at the footage it must have a slight delay, as did not get my shot on the turkey, but did get some with the trail camera, and my DSLR camera, but not what I was hoping on. After the other three hens ran some, another flock of jakes and two long beards passed by about 60 yds. out, and the long beards were strutting, guess they thought it was spring. These birds spent about one hour feeding, strutting, etc. in front of the blind, before moving off.

Now I need a legal buck to come by. Maybe I'll try some calling------here bucky, bucky, bucky. lol

Congrats on the turkey, I keep forgetting that they are open and legal to shoot with a bow during the fall turkey season. I usually only hunt them during the spring gobbler season and don't even give the fall season a thought.

[*]gI got my fall tom with the crossbow as well .Never got any pictures as it was pouring rain. But he was huge with a 11 inch beard..middle feathers in his fan were messed up.two toms strolled by my tree stand at 14 yards... Thu seem to sneak around the woods when it is raining. Still a fun hunt. Dutch

I took a hen today as my tag was going to expire. I was deer hunting and theyve been coming out all week to me. But tonight it was only one hen.

First shot went through and caused debilitating damage . 125 wasp drone, buried in a maple tree, saved the arrow. She was not able to get away, but was not dead, so I took another shoot from a couple yards away. That arrow pinged off a pagewire fence. And I haven't found it yet.

So the tally for 3.5 pounds of meat.

125 wasp drone
100 wasp drone
1 custom big John arrow
1 brand new luminock. Which didn't light up!
And a $30 tag.

Next fall, Butterball.
