Trigger adjustment

Post by onmedic »

Picked up my new bulldog 330 today, all sighted in. Trigger has way to much creep for me. Any idea on taking some of that out?

You basically have two good options. First, a TriggerTech trigger, is an aftermarket trigger that is popular and quite good. Second, contact forum member Boo, and inquire about a Boo trigger job. He is very good and trigger will remain safe to use! both options will give you a very good trigger. I have both and you will not be disappointed in either. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

I'd personally start by contacting Excalibur directly for a warranty issue, and see if they'll fix it for free. I've heard they will. Failing that, give Boo or Danny Miller a try.

Good luck,

Drop a TriggerTech trigger in the bow. It makes a big difference.

If memory serves me correct didn't we have a full on trigger job thread with pics posted as well describing everything from start to finish, I'm thinking we did. It would have been done by one of the pros on the forum.

to complicate things the bulldog models also have a trigger linkage bar.i would shoot a couple dozen through it and see if it settles in. if it still doesnt feel right send it in for warranty. i wouldnt jump for an after market trigger or a get a trigger job on a new crossbow. you can get a great factory trigger that doesnt have creep or buzz your finger numb.

The 330 would respond very well To a boo trigger job.
However, a warranty replacement from EXCAL is free and the best place to start
