Sounds great but I don't think my M380, M410 or Frankenbow are in any danger of being overthrown.

This thing sure is heavy at roughly 1 1/2 lbs heavier than the Bulldog 400, likely due to the integrated crank, and I would shy away from it for this reason alone. I am sure some who hunt from stands wouldn't mind the weight, but for those who cover plenty of ground that's a ton of extra weight to be carrying around. This is a step in the right direction with the adjustable stock, better trigger and internal crank, but it's just not very exciting to me just yet.

Many people want an internal crank and adjustable stock, but I think few will be willing to sell their lighter and faster bows for these features. Cut some weight, increase the speed, get rid of the boxy looking stock, and shave a few bucks off the MSRP if you want a game changing hit.

It looks as though the charger crank system has to be used all the time? I don't like the fact that you are unable to cock the crossbow using the cocking rope. I think I'll stay with my 405. With that being said I do like the adjustable stock and cheek plate and two stage trigger.

Bcxbow....thank you. I see all the videos available that show the crossbow being cocked but couldn't see if it has the anti-dry fire mechanism . Does the Assassin still have the anti dry fire built into it?

I forgot to mention how I was told at the ATA to use the string changer.
Run one end on a limb tip then behind the trigger box that's lowered but not on the string and then on the other tip. Crank it up until tension is off the string change/adjust the string. Then put tension on the handle slide the crank back into release and unwind. Works pretty slick.

Thanks for the info Newbie, Dave tried to explain that to me but I didn’t quite get it, Now I do. The carrier doesn’t get attached to the string when doing this, that’s the part I missed cause I was ok how do I release the carrier from the string? Now I Know. Thank You

The string is not easy to get out of the latch without shooting the bow.
Same deal if you uncock with the crank. String stays in the trigger unit. .

There is a release you can trigger in the back of the trigger box on a Ravin to remove the string after decocking. Does the Assassin not have this feature?
