Turkey time

Post by Carnivorous »

Ontario Turkey season opens this Wesnesday.

All dialed in with the Magnus bullheads. :)

Good luck to all in pursuit of the majestic birds.

After 20 yards the groups open up. I set the decoys out to 10 yards and wait for that up close and personal shot... :)

I cocked it around 20 times today. Surprisingly it's not that bad. I think the strength training is paying off... lol

Don`t forget the adjustable stock to accommodate the changing amount of clothes required to hunt during the season . :)

Good luck hunting, with that Magnus head looks like you will end up with diced turkey if you get a shot :)

That's some good shooting. looks like the same set up that I am shooting . are you using the 125's or the 100's . the 100,s I can get a good group at 25 pluss and the 125's good to 15 or so . i'm like you and like to wait for that 10 yrd. shot . good luck on your hunt have fun.

I'm using the 100grains. I'm going to try the 125's the blades are longer and more forgiving.. Lol

I tried them with my faster shooting Scorpyd. I couldn't get them to group with it. I think the faster bow isn't ideal for the magnus bullheads....

you are correct, the slower the better for the big one. I had to go with a 5" off set feather and the spinning insert to get mine to fly out of my 335 micro. using carrots for targets makes it a lot of fun and you can see just how they work. have a good time hunting and good luck.
