In England, only 3 1/4 dram equivalent is used. Testing of the higher pellet load and higher powder load of 3 3/4 actually was less effective overall.
This was many years ago, likely before more optimized chokes and buffered loads. Whatever, I’ve been very impressed with the groups that my Nova , 665 Kick’s choke, does with low base 6s.
