Going to pick up my 05 GMC Canyon at 4 this aft. Its just a basic model with reg. cab and 2wd. If I remember correctly someone(s) here has one? If so how do you like it?

Im a dodge/anti ford guy, but when I found out I qualififed for the gm discount from work, I cut my ties with dodge in a hurry.

will post pics when I get it

Congrats RichardS,

I have the '04 Colorado (Chevy version of the Canyon)

Mine has the extended cab and the 5 cylinder, 2wd. I am very happy with it's quiet ride, power, fuel economy and overall performance. When I take it easy I can go 700k on a tank of fuel and it costs about $55 to fill up with regular when the price is in the mid $0.80's like it is now. I have about 20k on mine now and the only warranty problem was a wind whistle on the passenger's side.

There are still a couple small issues with the window seals squealing when I power down the passenger window (now too tight from the original claim?), and some small interior squeaks that need to be addressed but in general I'm happy with the purchase.

The price of gas is a minor concern for me.....its the $5200 a year for insurance.

I have had my licence for just over three years and a clean slate and I have to pay the a quater of the cost of the truck every year!!!!!

Insurance is just as bad as taxes these days!

Ontario Bowhunter.

Sometimes I think God has a sick sense of humour and simply needs a good laugh. He probably took one look at you and decided to mess with you for his amusement.

Cheers!
