Good news for Southern Ontario bow hunters

Post by Carnivorous »

Our additional deer seals were cut to zero where I hunt in WMU 92 for multiple seasons. With only one deer seal it was black powder only for me in Ontario. :(

They have brought back most additional bows only seals and as a bonus 92 is buck or doe with the bow. :)

This is fantastic news and I know where I will be on Oct 01st...lol

.....and I thought the good news was Trump had declared Ontario to be part of the USA and I was going to be able to hunt the entire province for free....silly me

Thanks for posting this, I hunt 94 and you could get 3 tags and I didn't think that was enough then it went to 1 tag only. I have never seen so many deer and most of the area is off limits because of non-hunters buying up farms. I used to like the extra tag to shoot a doe then save a tag for that nice buck. It will be nice to take a doe early but this year I won't need to as I have hunts panned in Michigan, Kansas, Kentucky and Montana which should hopefully fill the freezer !

I hear ya. I live in 94 and have never been able to secure permission here. I drive to 92 to deer hunt... lol

I used to have access to 4 farms but all have been sold to tree huggers except one. He only lets me hunt because we are friends and he can tell those that ask for permission that he already has a hunter ! I would love to know where they got the figures to say they needed to lower the tag count before. I see deer everywhere and behind my house where you can't hunt because of discharge bylaws I often see herds of 20 or more deer and now packs of 6 to 8 coyotes !
