Bulldog 330 questions.

How much shorter is the bulldog 330 than the original Matrix 330 ?
Does the painted rail have any affect on serving wear?
For those that have owned both, how much easier is the Bulldog 330 to cock?

I cant really answer your questions yet my BD330 wont be here for a couple days.

I can tell you it shoulders like a dream. Probably the nicest shouldering matrix of the series

I have a 355 & a B.D 330 .Only about an 1 1/2" diff in over all length but it feels so much more compact . As far as string wear on the rail I 'm not seeing any .

The 330 is listed at 33.87"
With the shorter stock I would think the BD330 would be shorter than the 330.....

Dont hold me to this, but when the BD series came out and they started using micro risers on them. Because of the more relaxed angle, the rails are a bit longer. But I have never measured them back to back.

With that said, there is only and 1/8" difference between thr 330's... But with that, the scope, the trigger, and 2.5" of rail are all 2.5 inches closer to your shoulder. Also your hand is below the rail now stabilizing it.

Its like holding a suppressor and a micro 335, same mechanics involved, but totally different shouldering beast there.

With a tape 355 is 31 " B.D 29 3/4" from limbs to the butt of stock (not including stir up). But everything sits farther back say 2 1/2" to 3" . It is very noticeable.
