Can't tell anything from the picture. Did it break where the loop comes together or in the string groove?

When twisting or untwisting you only need to twist one side not both,I do the right side

It broke where the loop joined the main string I believe, but it really exploded. The loop is gone. And good to know about twisting and untwisting. I’d read on here somewhere to do a half twist at a time on both sides. And that string was old...3 years worth of shooting. Couple hundred shots a year.

If you had that many shots on that string, you did well and you've learned to replace your string sooner than later.
