The past few days I've been spraying myself with some doe urine-scent stuff and also with some scent eliminator.
Yeah, I know, one's likely fighting the other. But I figured maybe the eliminator will get rid of my smell and the doe urine smell will be more natural.
I must have done something right. The buck I got last night (which was directly downwind from me) knew something was there but didn't know what and the doe that bedded down in the same direction had no clue I was there.
I also was within 20 yds of a buck the other day. It came towards me and I was just laying in the grass. Obviously I didn't get him though.

Here's the mix I use
1 gallon distilled water (or clean creek water, just no chlorines or iodine’s in it)
1/2 box of baking soda
16 oz peroxide
2 shot glasses of scent free liquid soap
Pour out enough water from a gallon jug to get the other stuff in and let it fizz for a while after mixing (about 1 hour or the top will pop off). Then just transfer to a spray bottle and you're set.

probably the 2nd biggest hoax perpetrated on hunters is "scent blocking" parephenalia, IMO. (Gore-tex is numero uno)
No way does it work, period. I proved it a few years back to a frim believer in the stuff and owner of an archery & gun shop.
I had him dress up in all the SB stuff, wash his clothes, boots socks etc & his body, & hair in the SB soaps and do anything else he wanted. Then he walked around a shopping mall in Winter Haven, FL. in & out of stores etc. 36 hours later, after hundreds (maybe thousands) had walked over his trail, my boss' bloodhound tracked his movements exactly. The olfactory system of deer is very similar with a huge scent gathering area and a very large portion of the brain dedicated to deciphering/interpreting those signals. I wtached this dog (& others) track a kid in a car (windows up) in a simulated abduction!
Hunt upwind & save your money ). Just my dos centavos.

Dyhard,
Sounds like a way to experiment, but I'm curious as to what the unscented soap does? Do you spray the stuff on your clothes before you go out or do you wash your clothes in this mixture? It is worth a try since I haven't had anything come close to my stand. I heard a story of a guy drinking a bottle of that doe in heat stuff but after smelling it- NO WAY, but he did get a big buck. Thanks for any info you may pass on.

Anybody ever seen that video where the fella sprayed himself with buck in rut and then went into the woods with his wife and a video camera??
Fella got the living tar kicked out of him by a buck (lucky to make it out alive ).....his wife never missed a second of tape!!
