got a doe

Post by steve »

went out wed. morn. new spot , was walking in and just came through a swamp and came to a small clearing , there was a doe standing there 20 yards from me ,her head was behind a tree but I could see her body, so I leaned down to shoot under a branch and made the shot. gave her a half hour and went to look for blood, found my arrow , it went right through. No blood for about 50 yards , then was easy to follow. When I found her, her intestines were hanging out ?? then I seen her tail was gone and her ass end was all chewed up. I first thought coyotes, but now thinking fishers. ? Iam going back this morn. would like to see a buck as I leave on monday for nevada again (the work thing ) miss all of nov but be back for dec. , will have lots of time then. I still have one tag and the wife has two. Good luck to everybody!
oh yea, chalk another one up for the old wolverine, I wouldn't trade it for nothin.
