Quiver mount

Post by rigbymi »

Hi to all,
I will be buying a new bow shortly and I was wondering if the quiver on the Excalibur bows can be mounted on either side of the stock. I being a lefty. I like this site and I believe that when I do buy it will be an Exomag.

I'm right handed but shoot left. It can go either side.

Digger question?

When installed in that fashion do you have to sight under the quiver. I don't suppose that would work with a scope?
Is it in the way for the cocking string. Thanks in advance I really don't like the standard side mount.

Dyhard, There is no impairment of vision when using a scope or any thing else. Dan made these mounts for Excal. and they work great. You can mount your Excal quiver if you want, I use a Bohling Cougar quiver on my mount.

Incidentally, I bought a spare quiver mount from BJ and bolted it to my climber.

Now the quiver comes off the bow and clips on the side of the stand when I'm hunting. My wife put extra padding in the seat too and I have RJ's custom footpegs installed...this stand's been converted from a Chevy to at least an Oldsmobile.

Mike the mount itself is $7 US and s&h is $8 US.I have one of Dan's list of Excal parts he has. Give Dan a call to order them. They attach where the front sight went.

Digger, what are those 3 studs sticking out of the stirrup on your bow?

bj puts them in most of the xbows he sells, keeps the bow from slipping when you cock the bow in ice and snow or hard ground. They screw in and you can take them out if need be. It worked rather well in the last frozen finger 3D shoot I went to.
