custom paint?

i got 2 ?
i got a brown vixen and i want to custom paint it,


is there any danger to damage the limbs if i paint them?
is there a specific paint i should use to paint it?

RJ has painted a few of his. Here is a pic from a previous thread that RJ posted. I believe this is a Vixen that RJ had? He would be one of the best people to ask.

Do a search might show up some custom paint jobs...I use ACRYLIC PAINTS, were some real nice pictures on the old forum on a few... :wink:

I think it was DesertRat whom painted a few...

Problem I have found is it is like taking a nice shiney car into the bush. This stock is acrylic paint with a clear coat. If you are just looking to make the bow a little more stealthy you have a couple of options. You can get some sturdy outdoor paint and paint over it like RJ did. I currently cover my bow with camo material. I do a fair amount of ground blind hunting so the camo makes the bow less visible and very quiet. You just have to avoid the burrs :lol: [/img]
