I sent the M.O off for it today. My son ( 11 yrs old) is going to flip when he sees it. Thanks to everyone for all the advice. I will try to keep the newbie questions to a minimum.

The first thing I am going to do is take the dot sight off and mount it on my 9mm carbine and get a crossbow scope for the Exocet.

Congrats on the purchase, I think you'll be pleased with it. I'd stick a Vari-Zone scope on it, then you can adjust for any arrow weight (velocity) you choose to hunt with.

Is there anything special that I will need to do when putting the limbs and string back on( it is being shipped dismantled) ??

Other than a stringer, scope and some hands on experience is there anything else I need to get right away? thanks.....william

If it's shipped with the riser/limb assembly removed it's very easy tor re-assemble, and pretty much self-explaining just by looking at it and a pic of an assembled bow. Just line up the riser on the end of the rail and replace two bolts & cone washers. You can easily remove and replace the riser assy. for easy transport with no need to re-sight the bow (but I'd always check the sights to be certain).

I didn't see the video in the package there.

Take a look at.. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/video.html

That will answer every question you could possibly have about the bow..
