Fletching Offset on Excal carbons????

Post by ecoaster »

Is there an offset to the vanes on the carbon bolts? They look slightly offset, but it's hard to tell just by looking. I'm consisering buying an Arizona EZ fletcher.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!

I believe the factory offset is about 4 degrees, and BJ sets the 4" vanes at 7 degrees.

(correct me if I'm wrong guys)

FLETCHING OFFSET

Post by BOB VANDRISH »

I would like to hear more from all you guys out there on this topic.
I have looked at fletching equipment, and they are either straight,or right or left wing helical, and as far as I can see, none are designed to do either a 4 or 7 degree offset.
I just got into this game a few months back, having been a compound bow user, doing my own fletching at the time.
I looked at all the arrows(bolts) that came with this package, and also all the ones that I have been buying on ebay, over the past few months, and as far as I am concerned, none of them have any offset, period!
I agree that a small offset is certainly better than none, but how do you get there if you want to do them yourself?
I don't want to be guessing at a 4 degree offset!
Any and all help would be appreciated.

Bob the Arizona E-Z Fletch is the best and easiest I have found to use. It makes no difference if you use left or right fletching, the E-Z Fletcher is off set and not a helical fletch. The E-Z Fletcher come's in straight(1deg), 2deg, and 4deg. offset. I use the 4deg offset with feathers 4" and the 2deg. offset with 4" vanes.

It has been posted the Lazer II's are 4deg. offset but mine are 2 deg. from the factory and you can't see 2deg. offset by just looking at them.

Well they changed them on me again..here's what they got.
#STO 4 degree offset (4 degree)
#ST1 straight (1 degree)
#RT1 right (8 degree)
#LT1 left (8 degree)

The Arizona E-Z Fletch PRO is the fastest fletching tool on the market today.Fletch a dozen arrows in 30 minutes or less. The E-Z Fletch PRO automatically adjusts to any size from 2013 to 2514, One tool allows the application of all three vanes or feathers at the same time. E-Z FLETCH PRO tools are available in the four styles listed below.
#STO 4 degree offset (4 degree)
#ST1 straight (1 degree)
#RT1 right (8 degree)
#LT1 left (8 degree)

he carbonEZ fletcher only comes in 1 degree and 6 degree helical but you dont want to use this fletcher for your bolts as it only take a small dianeter shaft and xbow bolts are swame size as 22xx aluminum.

I tell ya Digger, they keep adding and subtracting them E-Z Flecthers every year. I tried ordering a 1deg off set last year and all they had was 2 deg. Now this year they got the 1deg. again...I like the 1 or 2deg. with vanes and the 4 deg. with my feathers...
