Good inexpensive backyard target

Post by Cousneddy »

With the Excalibur on the way, I will be needing a target. The hunting fund is overbudget  so I need to be on the cheap side. What are some good choices?

Thanks, Ed

You can make your own, I prefer a 50lb burlap sack and stuff it with strips of plastic or fiber glass screening. put as much screening in as you can till the sack is fairly hard. Paint some bulls on it and hang in a wooden 2x4 frame.you can get the screening from a hardware store, they may even have left overs from doors thy have done. Or stuff the sack with plastic carry bags from your local Piggly Wiggly or grocery store, you'll pull the bolts out with 2 fingers with these targets.

I use a corn feed bag (Synthetic burlap) and stuff it full of plastic grocery bags then I squish it down and wrap it with Duct tape. These targets work great with feild points but broadheads sail through it. BTW I use an exomag.
