I have an older Exocet that started out as a carved limb model. Sent it to Excalibur and had 200 pound riser and limbs put on. The trigger mechanism has never been out of the bow. My question is do I take it out and clean and oil it or leave it alone. It's working perfect still after several years.
If it needs cleaning can some one talk me through taking it out. Many THANKS!

There are two sayings I live by.
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.

I’m not sure what you would be cleaning from the trigger, and no lubrication beyond what you need. A small shot of WD 40 which dries out any moisture is what Bill T recommended in his old maintenance video, and that should be done following hunting in wet weather. I would leave it alone until after the season ends, then contact Boo for a trigger job. JMHO.

Re: Trigger Cleaning??
Depending on when you sent it in for cleaning. At some point after Exocet days they switched to white lithium, and then more recently have switched to Moly grease in their trigger.
Either being the case, WD40 will wash the grease out.
As Dan said, if it ain't broke... Shoot deer with it.

If it works the way you want it to, why bother to do anything?
