I read some post about how old you are . Just wondering how old is old. I am a young 77

54 not old but it scares the hell out of me seeing how bad my back was during my sciatica event.
Fine now but all l did was lift a little giant ladder in a truck .l lift heavy stuff at work all day.
I see me slowly slowing down and not liking it.
Although my stamina through this hunting season is on par with my younger years so far.
I now have 2 of the daughters boyfriends to help drag a carcass too. What the heck l feed them every weekend.!

I'll be 66 this year. Getting old sucks but it's a matter of expectations. I expect more and better!

I'm same as you W. M. 77 and hopefully next year I can get back at it, not hunting is for the funny sector,
at least I found out what they mean when they say,,,, The Golden Years,,
the doctors get all the (gold) you saved all those years.....

All of you youngsters inspire me! If I didn't get sick, my plan was to hunt way into my 70's. I'm still holding onto that plan thanks to you folks, I hope you pups hunt for many, many years!

So you know the saying “you’re only as old as you feel”? At 59 I feel like I’m 75.
And most of us were told this was coming and we just shrugged it off and said “not me”

I think I have some hunting socks that are 37!

I'm 66, 6' 7", 285 lbs, 2 knee replacements, 2 hip replacements and a 12" surgery scar on my back.

I'm still out there pounding it, dragging my own deer, and a few other peoples, and keeping up with or outdoing others.

WHY? Because I choose to do so.

You have to strive to live your life and do things, if you do, you can.

With that said, I have always lived my adult life based on the big dog theory: "big dogs don't last as long as little dogs", and based on that, I have tried to cram as much in as possible.

And yet I know people around the age of 60 that act and look like they are 85, if you think the power of your will and mind to do things doesn't work, you're missing the boat.

Get out there and live your life before it's gone.

I’m 64 and feel pretty good and hope to hunt until the body gives out.
