Excalibur Kid pulled it off

Post by XB I GO »

My brother passed up a bunch of deer. Dad said "no does". There is one half white yearling button buck. That one was okay to take. The Excalibur Kid hit it with our last 20" BEZS with 150 gr Sonic. It just dropped right there on the spot. Nice eating size deer, we were done with the whole thing in 20 minutes. Ground to freezer. Think of that commercial "like it never happened". These were the first deer today like 6 feet away....

Conmrats to your brother.

Why did you dad say no does but yes button bucks ? Do you have too many bucks and not enough does ? Just curious.

Just that little buck. We know all of our deer. Our property is small and we see the deer all year.

Congrats. I'm curious why you would shoot tomorrow's trophy rather than a doe l would do the opposite and shoot a doe.
If your trying to grow the heard simply dont kill anything
I hunt the small plots too l let the bucks get bigger if l didn't there would be no trophies there's not a giant supply down the road to move in every new year.
