Another ammo crisis

Post by longbow joe »

Now it starts .....no ammo.. shortages on all reloading supplies .
I have a lot of everything but now I'm afraid to just keep going to the range on Sunday and blowing off 200 rounds as usual this stinks.
The .22 and airguns are just not that exciting ...

I got caught with needing supplies last time around this crap happened. Vowed it would never happen again. Now sitting pretty. Very pretty. Lol.

Enjoy that 22 and airgun! Plenty good enough to scratch that itch.

I haven't noticed a complete shortage here, only shotgun shells. I guess shotguns are the toilet paper of the gun world. They wiped out all of the cheap bird shot so no shooting skeet around here until things restock. There's plenty of turkey ammo though. I guess it was too pricey to hoard.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why they would wipe out the light loads. If I were going to use a shotgun for home defense, a light load of #8s wouldn't be my first choice. I'd rather patch a dozen holes in the drywall than 350. Granted at very close range, any load from a shotgun is like a slug.

I can't believe how much bullets are now. I am glad I don't need any. Same with powder.

I'm all set, even got extra stuff for the muzzle loaders. Be safe folks, and shoot straight. Can't waste any bullets right now.

I am set as well. Found out my son-in-law always made jokes about the number of rounds I had. Now that he has nothing and the local shop shelves are clean, he has gained some new respect for my thinking.

Ammo Crisis??!? This is part of what got me so involved in my Excalibur's years ago. I shoot all I want to, Then go gather up my "bullets" and repeat... for as long as I want too- (or unless I shoot at the same place on my target twice without first gathering said bullet)
Stay safe out there folks!
