Post by longbow joe »

A buddy and l were discussing the subject of odball deer racks yesterday and he like l would rather shoot a crazy rack anyday over a perfect symmetric one anyday.

This buck was taken between Montrose and Gunnison, Colorado many years back. I saw him 2 days before season opened. He finally decided to showed back up at the beaver pond I had seen him at before, on the last day of the season.
He has 8 points on one side, 7 on the other. Both main beams turn down on the ends.
Never had him "scored", he's just a neat guy with lots of character. :D
He has made several of my buddies go :wtf: !!!!

That's cool l really like that top one.
Are there a lot of crab apples in your hunting area just my opinion but for some definite reason crab apple areas have always yielded some odd racks

Don't know about the amount of crab apples, but both bucks came off of the same property.
