A successful Turkey hunt

Our season opened today. I hunted with my wife and son up behind our house. The wife and I were just to our blind when we heard a turkey gobble. We had been sitting for a few minutes when we heard Jr's shotgun fire one shot. A minute later we got the good news via text, bird down. This is my son's first turkey. He shot it with a Browning BPS he just picked up at a local shop 2 months ago. I have two more hunters in the group looking to harvest their first bird, my wife and oldest daughter.
Hoping everyone is doing well

This one is an 87, same as the 85 except for fuel injection. I have a few of these trucks in various stages of restoration. Growing up in the 80's this is what a lot of our family drove. Me and a friend would ride in the back without seatbelts, something we just don't do anymore.Cardinalsfanforever wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 10:48 pmcongrats to your son, awesome job, by the way is that an '85 chevy, had one, wish I had it back
Those were the days.

Re: A successful Turkey hunt
I bought an 85 from a salvage yard for a work truck, had a 307 oldsmobile engine, I was told when they run out of 305's, they went across the street and got some 307's. had 60k miles on the odometer before the wreck when they fixed it up. bought it right and drove the dickens out of it, I had a new 96 gmc and wife had a 91 van, but I drove the 85 a lot more, it was very dependable on those cold mornings.
