Boofest 2020 is going to be cancelled

I have communicated with quite a few people that were intending to come to Boofest this year. Interest is low. Also as we get closer to Boofest I start to think that I cannot do this with good conscience. So with a heavy heart, I am postponing Boofest until next year. I hope by that time there everyone has antibodies from a vaccine or otherwise to protect them in what is supposed to be a fun time.

Sad post. I completely understand and think that you are doing the proper thing, but will sure miss the good times and getting to see everyone. I cherish all the times spent with Excalibur family. Great folks. Till next time!

That's the prudent choice Don. Lots of disruptions and cancellations due to this virus and we've come to accept that that's just the way this year is shaping up. We're certainly going to miss Boofest this summer but we're already looking forward to next year.

My wife and I had planned on one trip for sure this year - Boofest. We’ve , as you know, had a long standing family situation that has prevented travel or much of anything else. Our first “coming out” was to be a trip to Boofest and then a trip through southern Canada to out where Paul lives, then back to the heat, humidity and green lushness of Arkansas, through Glacier National Park, etc..
We’re working at removing as many negatives from our lives as possible. Meeting as many of the Excal affendos as practical would be another step in this direction. So, it’ll be 2021.

It think it is the logical choice .
If people have to travel or take time off work . It could be a additional financial strain when trying to maybe get back in the black .
