Hydro dipping

Post by Robinsons Rebel »

I bought a new Mossberg 930 for turkey hunting. I got it at a good price but I'm thinking about buying a pistol grip butt stock for it.If I go that route , I will want to camo it to match the rest of the gun. I want something more permanent than tape and was thinking about hydro dipping it myself. Looking for any pros and cons and price to do it. As always, any info will be appreciated.

Just dipping the pistol grip stock shouldn't break the bank, so, I say go for it!! It will likely put a smile on your face.

A couple months back I sent a crossbow stock and forend to Dave at Wyvern Creations for some Custom dipping, my first Hydro Dip project. First, he Hydro dipped it in True Timber Strata camo and next, he applied two coats of clear rubberized soft touch coating to give it a non slip grippy surface with better chip resistance.

I just can't put my hands on it yet because of the CDN/US Border crossing restrictions in place which is likely to extend another month.
