.....I would send Peter, "The Marketing Dude", a PM....explain your situation and see what he says based upon your issue.

Yes, I have never been asked if I was the original purchaser when getting warranty items.

Technically our warranty applies only to the original owner as stated in our policy:

"Excalibur crossbows carry a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. Warranty will be given at Excalibur’s discretion for the lifetime of the original owner of the crossbow."

We do our best to be fair with our warranty but like pretty much every warranty out there it applies to only the original owner.

This is not a subject that should be asked or discussed in an open forum(my 2 cents). The warranty is clearly for the original purchaser. This is the only answer that can officially be given on this forum or in any public forum.
This would be better discussed with Excalibur in private. At that time depending on circumstances Excalibur has the right to proceed as they feel appropriate.
Personally I would discuss with Excalibur Privately in hopes of a good will decision/replacement or replacement at cost/wholesale.
This would be how I would proceed.
Today I’ve turned 63! For me I always give anyone or any company I deal with the benefit of doubt. I prefer to negotiate openly with any warranty or quality issues I have with whom ever I am dealing with. The vast majority of the time I/we have been able to come to an amicable settlement. I’ve found most reputable companies will work with their customers.

I'm in retail and deal with thousands of vendors from all aspects of product over my career. Never have I ever experienced the service and warranty offered by Excalibur. Don't abuse it, communicate clearly and honestly and you are in good hands.

Oh and buy a set of blems then there's never an emergency

Two times that not being the original owner came to play and I stated from the start that I bought them used . That if I had to buy the limbs then I would .They came back with they were covered that was on a matrix 330 and a GRZ2 off a trading post and one limb on both cracked and again I told them I was the second owner they replaced them no charge . I guess they look at each problem .

Forkston, I’m terribly sorry if my post came across as insensitive or brash. I just meant my statement to be a general note to all seeking assistance in these circumstances. Glad you have it sorted.
Sorry
