A string game tracker will take a LOT of the speed out of the arrow. Especially at longer distances.

Was that what you were using when the bow wouldn't shoot 40 yards?

If so, it aint the bow - it's the string tracker.

They are made for very short distances. No more than 25 yards. After that it is a dying quail..

Throw it away or save it for short distance shooting on rainy days and learn to blood trail..

hard to say-the first thing I would do is to take the bow to a shop that has a chronograph and check the speed. YOur scope could be loose too but you said everything was tight
