Thanks guys for all the good advice. I ordered a couple Moultrie cams today. Going to try placing them higher pointing down. The cams I have I walked by them a dozen times this week and they didn't take a single pic. Also drove by with my truck and no images. :eusa-think:

Are you certain you have them set up correctly? I have walked off thinking I had mine off the setup and turned on only to find a week or so later that I did not click the button all the way on. :eusa-deadhorse:

I have done this with most of the cams that I bought, set it up in the house or outside and make sure you go by it and try and remember when.check it in a few days and see if it took pictures.if all is good then move cam to the bush

What brand cameras were you using that would not take pictures?

I've had it happen a couple of times over the years, BUT....I figured out after checking the "setting" I was the one who set it incorrectly!! :eusa-doh: Once I changed my settings, the cameras worked just fine.

Types of camera? Moultrie and Browning. But like i said, the problem was ME, not the camera.
The Browning stopped working 2 years ago. I run nothing but Moultrie now. The Browning was the "finicky" one!! :D
And they (the Moultrie's), work GREAT!!!

Pics are always nice and clear. Sure, they ain't cellular, but where I hunt, no cell service anyway. These cameras have worked well for over 5 years now.
Can't complain. Good battery life. will shot stills and video in HD.
I'm a firm believer in the acronym K.I.S.S.. :D

Robert the cameras that I am having the problem with are Wildgame Innovations. They were very inexpensive and have very few settings. Time/date, photo/video and number of pics.
I tried an experiment with the cameras. I put them up back at a T trail intersection. We walked by them several times from different directions. Walking straight up to the camera pic was taken at about 20 ft. Coming from the right pic was taken at 30 ft. When approached from the left the camera did not trigger at all until we were almost past the camera. What I discovered after walking around the camera for an while was that they both have a blind spot. Also if you let the cam sit for a few hours they are slow to "Wake up" and take a picture. So slow that you can drive by the camera slowly at 10ft away with a pickup truck and not get a pic . I am pretty sure my problem will be solved when my new Moultrie cameras arrive. I will continue using these cameras for close up pics like at a feeder or over a carcass for predator hunting.
Thanks to everyone for your advice and suggestions
Your help is appreciated. If you need new cameras try
Camofire their Trail cam Tuesday sale had some excellent prices. I am sure I will have some more questions when I get ready to set up the new cameras.
Take care

I am surprised. I bought a Wildgame Razor cam marked down at Walmart last year and mine takes great videos and pics. I put it on a tree with a Covert cam and it puts the Covert to shame. and all I spent was $34 on it.
